The American Association of Orthodontics has selected HR for Health as its official, endorsed partner to provide strategic HR solutions to its members. HR for Health is a web-based service specifically designed to help orthodontic practices navigate the ever-changing and complex employment laws.
“We are thrilled to have the official endorsement that comes with certification by the AAO,” says Ali Oromchian, one of the nation’s top legal authorities in the field of dental law and co-founder of HR for Health. “The AAO is the first specialty association to take the step. We think it shows that the AAO is vigilant about looking out for the best interests of the orthodontists. It’s a unique way to provide a service that addresses a real need in the profession. It’s not something the AAO had to do. But it’s something they wanted to do.”
In addition to the AAO endorsement, HR for Health will also be offering a complete suite of services that address practices’ legal requirements when it comes to the challenges of staying compliant with the laws of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA).
This year, HR for Health is offering its members a single touch-point to meet all of their compliance needs associated with OSHA and HIPAA. In the past, it was up to each individual practice to source all of the training manuals and videos put out by OSHA and HIPAA. Because it’s a 100% electronic service, practices are guaranteed to have the most up-to-date information available from each group.
According to Oromchian, the changes fall in-line with the philosophical mission of HR for Health. “They allow the practice to focus on providing the very best clinical care rather than devoting energy to all of the challenges that can go along with managing employees. Whether it’s a small practice just starting out, or a larger practice with fifty or more members, HR for Health provides a complete compendium of services that aren’t available anywhere else.”
While the AAO certification is a milestone achievement for the company, HR for Health has plans to continue the depth and breadth of the services they offer. “We will be establishing an HR for Health Academy in the not too distant future. The Academy will offer educational seminars for doctors, managers and HR professionals to be trained in many ‘best practice’ techniques from around the world. Subjects will include interpersonal leadership strategies, dealing with performance reviews, handling violations and getting the most out of your team. The entire curriculum will go hand-in-hand with what many practice management consultants are doing nationwide.”
